Puppy Collar Tut!

I just wanted to show you guys how easy it is to make your furry friend a fancy schmancy collar! I dont believe I have ever made a tut so hope its helpful!

Step 1: pin your fabric/ribbon to the webbing, I like to use fabric scraps that I have ironed out like bias tape.


Step 2a: sew the fabric on, I prefer to use invisible thread for this step, but youcan use what ever you want!


Step 2b:sew the other side, if Im making a kitty collar I usually use a zig-zag stitch.

for the rest of the steps I recommend using a strong thread such as upholstery strength thread, its safer for your pooch!

Step 3a: the hardware, you can put either piece on the end, I just prefer to put the female end, also you need to put the d ring on during this step.


Step 3b: you will sew where its pinched




I like to do an "x" stitchhere


Step 4:the "hard" part, its not that bad,just kinda confusing at first, Im just going to show pics, if you need me to explain it I can!








Step 5: Sew where its pinched


Its kinda a pain to sew it but its not that bad!


and your done!!

What a great idea!  I no longer have dogs and my cat, Isabella won't keep anything around her neck (maybe diamonds - I haven't tried that yet). lol

Uh, I don't know if you know this, but I think there is a universal rule that if you make a pet craft, then there MUST be at least one gratuitous pic of said cute animal with said craft!
