I'm soooo excited! I finished my wedding dress last night and I absolutely LOVE it! It's a fifties style party dress, with my own flair of course. I didn't get a photo of it but it's got a multi colored petticoat under it too.

Here is the in progress craftster post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=270998.10
And the in progress post from my blog: http://lisawelge.com/blog/2009/05/great-wedding-dress-project/

I am so excited for the wedding! It's in 4 days, yikes!

Check out the post on my blog for full details but here are some more photos: http://lisawelge.com/blog/2009/08/our-wedding-the-dress/

Here’s the back. It normally closes all the way, but my dress form is bigger than me now. That’s a good thing!

The sash was one of the last things I made yesterday. The dress just wouldn’t be complete without a nice big bow!

Oh and here is the veil I made last night:

I've got a tutorial for the veil written up on my blog here: http://lisawelge.com/blog/2009/08/our-wedding-i-made-a-veil-with-a-quick-how-to/

Sorry for all the links. its easier that re-typing everything. And with a wedding coming up in 4 days, I need all the time i can get!! I cannot wait for the big day!!!!

Update!! I'm Married!

The wedding was AMAZING! The dress was a success and I am proud to say I was happily married in it on August 22! We just got our photos back from the photographer and I am so in love with them.

Here's a few that show of the dress well:

I've got part one of the full wedding write up on my blog: http://lisawelge.com/blog/2009/09/our-wedding-part-1-pre-ceremony/

There was DIY Galore! I'll have to make a full craftster post on all the DIY!

Absolutely Gorgeous!!! I am a fifties fanatic so anything from that era I love. But you did a great job with the dress and veil.
