hi all -- for a wedding gift, i thought about getting my friends some kind of starter gardening kit, something that will help them grow flowers or herbs in pots. (they don't have a traditional backyard.) any suggestions of a good kit or starter set? thanks so much.

Herbs that are easy to grow like chives, thyme and tarragon start pretty easily from seeds and don't mind pots. You could check out seed sites like Burpee for veggies that are meant to be grown in pots - like 8-ball zucchini and tiny round carrots (I think they are called Thumbalina). Most strawberries don't mind pots.
