Thanks everyone! I was very nervous when I drew it out that it wasn't good enough. After some agonizing over the stupid lips I decided I was happy with it. I think it is a fitting tribute to a fantastic movie!

AlwaysInspired - LOVE IT!!!

I can't wait for my John Hughes towel to come home.  I know it was a challenging theme and love the fact that my group fully embraced it :-)

Okay, here's what I added to jqadam's towel. He'd asked for ocean/nautical marine themes etc, and because I somehow don't think like other people, I went for.... coral.

It's not the prettiest thing, but all the French knots make it so much fun to touch. Textural embroidery is lots of fun - and feeling it kinda reminds me of the piece of coral I had for ages after I went to the Great Barrier Reef - it was all bumpy and scratchy to hold.

You get really really quick at doing French knots after a bit. I ended up surprising myself by how many I could do in a lunchtime.

I think the french knots are perfect for coral texture!! Very pretty, too.

The coral looks great!  I envy your french knot ability!

Greenlightgo asked me to post what sundayafternoonhousewife added to her nature themed towel.  A pretty butterfly and flower.  Now I'm off to begin adding to it!
