Here's my addition to Kitten Wrangler's towel.  Her theme was Indonesian designs, which I had a hard time with.  Then I spotted this.  It was on a free Henna tattoo site.  I don't think Henna tattoos are exactally "Indonesian designs" but the flowers looked similar to some on some Indonesian fabric I found so I went with it Smiley

Zombie_Queen, I like your band logo a lot. the little skull is cute.

~Glenda, what a charming fish! He's really putting the moves on Goldie there.

Susie - I love your chips and dip! I've never seen the pattern before, it's too cute and your stitching is just gorgeous.

~Glenda - great fish! I love how you did the waves. I just woke up and my brain's not working properly - is it couching? It looks really cool.

Zombie_Queen - thank you!! I love that band!

sarahj2001 - great choice of design! I love all the bright colors!

Sarahj- Lovely work!  I'm getting that towel next and I have to admit to being a bit relieved the towel has leaned toward Asian style so I don't have to search for vintage Soviet imagery suitable for embroidery  Wink

Hey Everybody,

Hope all is well!  Heres my design for Glendas towel.  I love to work on medium weight tightly woven fabric so this napkin was a dream come true for me.  Glenda has a suggested theme of astrology but since there are only 3 in her family plus the canine member and we have 5 stitchers I  decided to grab the middle and create a design show it was her familys signs.

I used old fashioned variegated floss on a lot of this but most especially the roseI like the old stuff because you are guaranteed the shades all work together but you can control it to the point where you almost have 3 or 4 solids.

Danielle and I Sew Cute both did a fabulous job and scaled their designs really nicely so they were the same size.  I centered mine and I think the last two will fit like a charm!  The design is a reworking from my Sailor Jerry tattoo stencil book.

Now for some catching up.

Rita I love the scooter it has a real wind in the hair feeling about it

Lily- Your bird design looks great with the others good choice!

Zombie Queen cute gnome his beard looks fuzzy! & a nice job on the logo

GreenLight- I love the purple I am glad that towel is turning out so colorful!

Mamaphunk- time sometimes catches up with usit was interesting to hear such a honest take on smoking I have never smoked and it always seems strange to me that people can breathe in smoke

Susie -your chips cracked me up I love the colors you picked and all the little details that really make it a scene!

Glenda! your fish totally cracked me up I love how you set the scene!

Sarah! wow that was the perfect addition that towel looks great your color scheme is fantastic!
