I am in Virginia ,  and our bird is the cardinal.

Love the Coral! The butterfly and flower are so pretty! And Amy- your bird is fantastic- I had to go look up what my state bird is!(Mockingbird) I've got to get my outline in order!

I worked like a fiend on greenliightgo's towel.  I just couldn't stop stitching!  She has a nature theme for her towel so I chose this Aunt Martha's pattern of a persimmon tree branch with a couple persimmons on it.  It reminded me of the persimmon tree in my mom's yard growing up.  I used the linen thread which I love and I think worked really well with this pattern, soft, muted, natural colors.    (The only thing not linen is the black and the orange of the persimmons)  I'm really pleased with this design.
