I just finished aada's towel. I started working on it last night. She wanted a nautical theme and I couldn't resist this little cutie.

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

Great mermaid, sixblueirises!  Is that crayon tinting?

Kittykill, love the sailor girl!  She's definitely got a little attitude!

sixblueirises ~ Love your mermaid & seahorse -- the color tinting on the mermaid's tail is my favorite.

killykill ~ Great start to aada's towel!! I love what a sassy 'do your sailor girl has.

sixblueirises- I love your mermaid!  The shading is beautiful and you are a brave soul to do all that metallic stitching!

Kittykill- She's a lovely sailor girl!  Nautical themes are popular this round!

Kittykill, I love your little sailor girl and I can't wait to see your mermaid in person sixblueirises.

I just finished mego's towel. Her theme is Forest/Nature, so I went with a folk art fox:

The pattern is a vintage quilt pattern I found on eBay. When I was post-stalking I read that mego isn't a big fan of how satin stitch looks, so I kept it to a minimum (only the tip of the nose and the eye).

She didn't get to take a picture of what she stitched before sending out, so here it is:

The first two designs are positioned at the opposite ends of the towel on the horizontal, so I folded up the extra white space in between to get a shot:
