My boyfriends mom has been painting light bulb ornaments and selling them for years. I like to recycle and paint objects so 2 years ago I decided to try it myself. Here are pictures of my hand painted light bulb ornament. I made it to look like the Mayor from Nightmare Before Christmas and he is double sided.

thanks!  Cheesy
I have been wanting to make some more of the characters but haven't gotten around to it yet. I definitely want to make more ornaments this year though because they are super fun!

I want to know too. How did you do the hat? Does the paint make the bulb a little more sturdy? Also, what type of paint did you use for this?  Smiley

thanks! Smiley

for the hat I used foam for the base and then the light as paper polymer clay for the top

I guess it makes the light bulb more durable, you are adding several layers of paint and then I used brush on gloss.
