along with supplies and/or goodies. You will be sending
3-4 points of crafted items.
You can do any sized items as long as your finished crafts total between 3-4 points. Also please remember to add in your crafty supplies to your envelope as well. The supplies ARE NOT included in your points. If you and your partner wish to send more please discuss it with them and just let me know. You should be able to stuff these envelopes pretty full of supplies so remember stuff them as full as you hope your partner will do for you!
Feel free to use whatever you have in your stash for supplies, as well as new items if you wish! The purpose is to get rid of any unused items to make way for new supplies and ideas!
Points are as follows:
A large item=3 points
A medium item=2 points
A small item=1 point
By Time
-Large = 3++ hours
-Medium = 2+ hours
-Little = 2 or less hours
By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a jewelry set
with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks
By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less
For this swap we will be using the
largest sized Xpresspost Bubble envelopes from the post office (Canada Post doesn't have prepaid boxes). The bubble envelopes we will be using are
25.4cm x 40.6cm. You can see them on the Canada Post website
here (National) and
here (Regional) and they can be purchased at any post office. You will have the option, in the questionnaire, of where you want to send either within your Region (Regional) or outside (National), as there is a price difference between envelopes. Regional is $11.99+tax and National is $22.59+tax.
If you choose to send National you have the option to use a regular bubble envelope but it MUST be within the size guidelines for the Xpresspost ones and MUST be a BUBBLE envelope. I have added this option because the price has gone up for the National ones. Keep in mind that the Xpresspost envelopes cover the shipping and the weight of your package, so stuff them as full as you can because there is no extra charge no matter how heavy they get!
Canada Post defines the regions as follows:Atlantic: Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
Central: Quebec and Ontario (includes Northwestern Ontario postal codes P7A-K, P8N, P8T, P9A, P9N, P0T-Y)
Western: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba (includes Northwestern Ontario postal codes P7A-K, P8N, P8T, P9A, P9N, P0T-Y)
Nunavut: X0A, X0B, X0C
Northwest Territories: X0E, X0G, X1A
Yukon: all
Once you send you package you must PM both your partner and the organizer your tracking number (it will be the item number located on the label of your envelope) and please if you can, take your package to the post office to have your label stamped by the postal worker when you send it. This just ensures that your package has been received and you have proof of acceptance at the post office (in case of any loss or damage). It will also make shipping quicker and allows it to be trackable.
You will have the option of sending a second envelope as long as it is a joint decision between both you AND your partner.
You must check in on this thread as well as with your partner at least once a week if not more. If you will have any issues with sending late please PM me and let me know. Communication is key in receiving the supplies or crafts that you want in this swap. Also please be able to take pictures of your items or have your partner do it for you!
