In celebration of my significant other arriving tomorrow, I've done some henna!
I did it last night, and after doing some chores around the house, I found I needed to retouch my fingertips, which is why the paste is on them in the following pictures. The pattern on the palm is from hennapage.com, with the rest improvised.

I used powder, mixed it with warm hibiscus tea and about two tablespoons of sugar, then added lemon juice until it was at a creamy consistency, waiting until the next day to use it.

Ohh, the paste is on the tips.  I was just staring at this going "wow, DARK :O"
Looks good. Smiley

I like penguins, stars, rainbows and blue.
If your project has any of these, don't be surprised to see me post in it! Cheesy

Beautiful!!!   Grin  I usually do the more Indian paisley designs, but you've made me want to go out and get some henna powder so I can work on the more geometric moroccan designs.  That's a really dark stain too.

Anywhere from two to four weeks, depending on how much you wash your hands and how much you do with your hands. Basically, anything that would exfoliate the skin on your hands would make the stain go away faster.

And thanks for the compliments everybody!

That's so cool. I have often thought about doing henna designs. I love the design you chose.
