My littlest little boy loves Ni Hao, Kai-Lan!  The others really do NOT like it Smiley  Can you tell we watch a lot of Nick Jr and Noggin over here?!  I thought the characters would be perfect for amigurumi.  Made her last night/this morning.  Hope you all like her!!!!

Thought I'd add an easy pattern for Mr. Sun!  He takes all of 10 minutes to make if you're quick!

Supplies:
Yellow yarn (I LOVE the yarn from Hobby Lobby---"I Love This Yarn" ironically Smiley )
Black felt
Red embroidery floss
stuffing
E Hook
needle

R1: Work 2sc into each st (12)
R2: (2sc into next st, sc into next st)* rep to end of round (18)
R3: (2sc into next st, sc into next 2 st)* rep to end of round (24)
R4: (2sc into next st, sc into next 3 st)* rep to end of round (30)
R5: (2sc into next st, sc into next 4 st)* rep to end of round (36)
R6: (2sc into next st, sc into next 5 st)* rep to end of round (42)
R7-9: sc into each st (42)
R10: (sc2tog, sc into next 5 st)*  rep to end of round(36)
R11: (sc2tog, sc into next 4 st)* rep to end of round (30)
R12: (sc2tog, sc into next 3 st)* rep to end of round (24)
R13: sc2tog all the way around (12)
Take a moment now to stuff him firmly.
R14: sc2tog all the way around (6)
*Fasten off, leaving a long tail.  Use the tail to weave through last row of stitches.  Pull tight to close hole.

Cut two small circles from black felt and sew onto face.  Embroider mouth with red floss.  Use pink blush to make rosy cheeks.  Done!

Thanks guys!  I'm in the process of writing out the pattern.  When I make them I just draw and then scratch notes all over the place.  Interpreting it into something understandable takes several hours Smiley
I'd love to make them all!

OK Told you it would take a few hours Smiley  I did finish the pattern.  i hate that part!!!  I tried a few new things with this one.  I've never done vertical stripes before and I think if she was much bigger they would have twisted all around, but she's little.  Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions.

I think Yeh-yeh would be easy based on this pattern.  No hair on top, add some glasses, some different clothes, make him a little taller, that's all!  Maybe he'll be next.  or Mr. Sun---that would be really easy Smiley
