Two recently finished projects, I opted not to grout or make a background for either of them because I like the simplicity and roughness of them.

Both trees are on re-purposed wood, made with absolut vodka bottles and a broken car window.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best quality, they're difficult to photograph.

I like the one with the white trunk best, but they are both beautiful. Will you frame them?

Very pretty and unusual looking, I quite like them.  The texture on the leaves is fantastic.  I think they would look great on a flat surface like a table top, but then you would have to put a background and grout them wouldn't you?

These are beautiful.  I quite like the white one, it looks like a birch tree to me.

Your trees are awesome.  I like the white one also.  Looks like a cross between a birch and a maple.  I love the texture you have there.  This is definitely a unique project and you have done it well.

I don't think I'm going to frame them, I sold the white one to a friend so I don't know if she'll frame that.

A table top would be cool, but a bit difficult since the "trunk" glass isn't flat. I tried to put a background on them but I could not find a glass that didn't take away from the tree. I tried several different colors but with all of them, all you were seeing then was the background and not the tree.

Thank you all for your comments, I really appreciate it. Smiley

Those are stunning. I love them on the wood background- seems to tie the whole project together well for me. I like harmony.
