I know! I know! All my friends are doing it Cheesy. I'm thinking I am going to send out quilt squares so I can frame them for my office.

hey d- to answer your question I would prefer people send one fabric surface to be embroidered otherwise there really isn't a point to sending it around in a circle you could individually send each piece to your swap partners and have them send it back.  Accidental misplacement, fraying and having space to hoop also become issues with pre-cut patches.

I totally understand where you are coming from and I know this is your 4th go round but the last time I tried to organize the patch swap I had like zero people interested...so for this swap I recommend if you want to make a quilt later baste hem a largish piece of medium weight quiltng cotton and then you should ample room to slice when it gets home.

wow! 7 remaining places  Grin

if you plan to cut up your piece of fabric later just PM partners when the groups are out I'm sure they will stitch with enough space between the designs so it isn't a problem.

Woot! I'm in! And I am not in California  Grin Looks like this swap is definitely going to fill up before the deadline.

I'm thinking I will probably go more traditional and just send a tea towel this time. Last time I didn't really have a theme and I love how it turned out. This time, though, I was thinking about trying a video game theme. Do you think that's too limiting for folks?

I have a huge towel to send out so I'm gonna do that. Pre-cutting squares is too much, plus after rethinking it, what if I want to actually use it or frame a big piece.

hey millik - I myself would find it challenging (I was video game deprived) but people in this swap always amaze me with their ideas.  If you decide to go with it maybe give your partners some suggestions of copyright-free (maybe via coloring pages) of things you think would work.  The creative types will always come up with even better ideas but then everyone else will have an easier option.

Thanks--I think that's a great idea to include some copyright free design ideas. I was definitely afraid some folks might find it challenging, so that's why I asked. Smiley

I'm excited... which seems to be the echo in this thread!!

I wasn't going to start anything on my towel, but I found some really cute coloring pages of fawns.  I need to do some kind of embroidery right now to de-stress myself, but nothing else excites me!

My theme is nature/forest... since I'm pretty outdoorsy.
