OK- So hopefully I'm in- I'll send off my info, but under this psuedo name, I haven't done any swaps. I did however do 9  swaps a few years ago- like 4 years, under a different craftster name(wildflowerz). (was in good standing) Hopefully they let me in on this swap!

Although this idea originally started with Sublime Stitching you can use any embroidery design you like and post it in the gallery as soon as you are done.  For this swap we request that credit the source of your images and use imagery you have obtained legitimately (purchased or is copyright free) or have permission to use.

Ummm... I kinda want this clarified a bit, but I don't know exactly what the clarification I'm looking for is.
 -- are the copyright laws pertaining to images the same worldwide?
 -- if I have access through my work to clip art, does that count as 'having permission to use'?
 -- I assume anything from the hoop_love flickr group is okay to use.

The point of our statement that 'we request you credit the source and get permission' in my mind is obvious there are lots of legitimate designs out there ready to be embroidered so DON'T STEAL and if you are in doubt about an image don't use it in this swap because we don't encourage it when there are so many other options available.

I can't guarantee that everything submitted to hoop love is okay to use and don't want to.  It is up to you to use your own judgement and respect what we have asked.  I will however never condone people copying an artist's work and passing it off as there own or making derivative works and not giving credit.

It has been a crazy first day.  Please be patient as it takes me a while to do the approvals especially for people who are new to this swap and I prefer to do them in groups because of how the feedback form works.

To everyone who's interested but hasn't sent in yet I recommend you send as soon as you can since the pace has been brisk today and I'm guessing we may now be around the 14 mark.  It is going to be an awesome swap

Some notes:
Please remember to fill out the for the organizer section at the bottom.

Keep your concept broad and keep direction on what you do and don't want stitched to a minimum.  It is intimidating to stitch your design and pass it on so let's try to make it as easy for people find a design that they want to stitch.

Remember we always have some beginners in each group and the deadline is the most important part of keeping this swap going.  Far and away embroidery transfers are the quickest and easiest way to get a design completed and people should feel at ease putting them to use.
