My Mom makes these fantastic crocheted rugs. For the IYP swap I decided I wanted to make my partner one. So I did all of the chaining (the only thing in crochet I can do) and Mom made it into the actual rug. It was a great team effort and we plan on making more this way.
Made from acrylic yarn scraps. They wash beautifully as long as you run them through the dryer as well. I have some that have withstood washings every 2 weeks for 3 years.

Close up. If you follow the colors from the center out they go in rainbow order.
