As someone who typically knits or crochets for swaps, I totally understand how you feel, sorbetsurprise. I've signed up for swaps and spent literally the entire month crocheting and knitting only to end up shipping 5 items and receiving twice as many from my partner. I always feel a little guilty, especially when I see what everyone else sends/gets. Nowadays I feel a little better about it because i know I spend way more time then what's written in the swap requirements for a large on something that ends up measuring about a small or medium, and people who are familiar with crafting understand how much time went into what they get.

Size is a really bad way to measure if you're within the requirements unless it's a swap that locks in the type of craft (like an all sewing swap).. that's why there's the time scale in there, too. Also, if you like to really push your skills on swaps like I know a lot of us do, you probably spend way more time trying something, pulling it out, trying it again, so on and so forth. Like Banga says, most people are thrilled that they get something that's obviously made just for them. I know I am.

I'm glad to hear other people feel in the same position, at the end of the day if i am proud of what I am sending or if my friends have had a good reaction to the things I have made then its usually a good sign!  I hate it when sometimes the smallest things can end up being the fiddliest and take longer! I love little things, and tiny details sometimes show very hard work! You can breathe easy sorbetsurprise.
