So I used to work at this toy store (it should be obvious which one), and I always thought the gift cards were really cute and that it was a shame that we would just throw them away. So for a few weeks I just saved a bunch of empty ones that were just being thrown away.
I've had this idea in my head for a few months, and I finally started it about a month ago.
Basically, I punched holes in the gift cards and then bound them together with some ribbon. I then made a lining and attached it to the cards with ribbon, too. The lining is removable for washing. I remember seeing a belt kind of like this years ago in a magazine. It was made our of bus passes I think, so I suppose that inspired me. I still have some gift cards left, so I think I'm going to make a smaller version at some point.
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, so I'm very proud. The hole punching through thick plastic hurt, though.

Hanging.

At an angle.

Lining and pockets.

Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism are very welcome.

I really love it! and I definately haven't seen anything like it before, great job. If you plan to make more of these later on, you might see about getting the cropadile tool, it hole punches through plastic like it's nothing, so it might save your hands a bit. Cheesy
