Does anyone else save their fortunes from their fortune cookies? I was thinking that it would be neat to have a fortune craft swap.  Anyone else interested?

I have vintage yarn that I would like to give to someone! Please send a message if you'd like to obtain it.  I have lots!

I save mine... but what type of crafts would you make?  Nothing comes to mind...

Bags or shirts or a journal with the sayings on them? Stuff that incorporates the fortunes in some way.

I thought it would be neat.  Crafting something useful and insightful.

YOu could also make little fortune cookie magnets or a fortune cookie change pouch. Grin

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

That sounds like a cute idea... I could see some pretty nifty things coming from that. People could make up their own fortunes as well... That would help to create a bunch of crafts!

This sounds kind of cool.  Okay, this is where I admit that I'm a newbie.  Whew!  Now that that's over...

I can think of all kinds of stuff.  How about...a crochet fortune cookie dish cloth, fancy folded paper fortune tellers, calendar with different fortunes for each month, hand embroidered napkins with inspirational 'fortunes' on them.

A bigger item could be a fortune cookie 'quillow' that unfolds to reveal a message.  Or a shell for a fortune cookie bean bag chair that has a head rest pillow fastened with velcro that rolls out with a phrase to inspire sweet dreams.

Or some traditional, home-baked fortune cookies, maybe in a variety of flavors/colors...with fortunes in them, of course!

Sorry...not sure when to pull the plug sometimes Smiley
