my faboo boy learned how to knit recently, and i decided to fashion him his own manly knitting bag to carry his projects in.

i made it out of his old Marine cammies because i couldn't pass on the irony of it Roll Eyes

2/18/12 - I no longer have the directions for wrapped pens, I lost them several years ago. To obtain them for yourself, do like I did, contact DMC threads directly and ask for them.

Ha, that is funny! I LOVE it! A knitting Marine that really is the best, and he is a pretty good knitting Marine too I saw his work on the other post. Great job on the bag, on the teaching, and on finding the one Marine who would knit.

this is so cute and i am so jealous!  I wish my boy would even take a remote interest in crafting and knitting...currentl y he refers to my knitting obsession as "Old Lady Sports" (which is actualy a term coined by my little sister--who's addicted to knitting!)

fabulous job on the bag...must find retired camo to make bag out of for myself....

Damn, that's one kick-ass bag.  My guy actually wants to learn to knit, I just need the time (and patience) to teach him.

This is perhaps the coolest thing I've seen today!  Maybe even this week.  My ex-husband was a marine.  Wish I still had some of HIS cammies.  I'd make one for myself.

My hubby just looks at me funny and says "More yarn?".  That's when I just cock one eyebrow and say "More video games?".  Yes, our basement runneth over with yarn stash and empty computer software boxes.  He just has no desire to learn to knit.  Which is fine with me.  It gives me some myself time.

Yeah, that's about my situation.  My boyfriend makes fun of my knitting, I make fun of his excessive video games.  In my opinion, knitting is much more productive Tongue.  It's all teasing though!
