My 5yo has a new obsession. Batman. So he wants a mask. Online they are not cheap. So I think I could sew him one - maybe out of black felt? I've done some paper piecing to try to sketch out a pattern, but it's not coming together very easily. Can anyone help?? TIA!

you know those eye masks you see at mardigras? the ones that slightly cover the nose and have eye holes and stay on with an elastic strap? use that sort of pattern, extend the forehead to a half oval and add pointy ears. place elastic on either side of the eye holes. should work like a charm.  i have a 2 yr old nephew thats a batman freak...i should make one of these too  Smiley
