I found this little fur purse at Goodwill.  The dainty beaded strap was too delicate for the heavy fur and the lining was very sad.

I made a new lining out of houndstooth upholstery fabric, with little pockets out of a fishing print flannel.  I liked that the basket on the flannel was the same shape as my fur purse.

I made a strap out of the houndstooth fabric, attached it to the new lining, then hand stitched everything into the original.  Here it is loaded with my stuff.

(yes, that is a pocket knife peeking out there, I am constantly using it to "fix" things)

And here's a shot of happy me with my wonderful new purse.

(my 4 yr old son pet it and said "mamma I really like your new purse, it's so soft!")

If you can't do it with duck tape...it can't be done!
