My Poppets - Image Heavy

I thought I would show off my poppets as they get made.

My first is Heather, made to the original poppet pattern.
I had trouble with the toes on this one, but otherwise she went fine.




She now resides in my second eldest daughter's bed

My second doll is called Pene
She was meant to be a representation of the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew. Well, after the cat he used to chase. Her name was Penelope.
I had the most trouble with this one and I think it was because the material used for her body was too stretchy. Also, the fur suit didn't work out too well so it is sewn onto her body. And I now dislike and avoid curly doll hair!!!

My third poppet was Hunny Bunny.
For this one I experimented with facial sculpting, and it went quite well. She also has long bunny ears, and at my eldest daughter's request, she is wearing camouflage gear, with purple buttons!

My fourth poppet was for a mini poppet swap, and travelled all the way to England.
She has a removable mermaid tail, a beach wrap and passport.

My fifth poppet, and newest one to complete is Princess, named and claimed by my youngest daughter.
She was the lucky recipient of a a crocheted wig for hair. The yarn was very interesting to use and stuck out at all different angles!




As I make more poppets (still have 4 more to do on my to-do list - make that 5, I am making one for a friend's daughter) I will post up their pictures here.

Thank you for putting all of these in one place. I love Pene the best because she is so unusual and I love fur. Great job on all of these. I've made about 8 and none look this good.

The hair was certainly interesting to make on the last doll.
I just made another wig with normal yarn and it was way easier then this one. Pictures will come when the doll is dressed.

I have just finished my latest doll. (Number 6!) I have temporarily named her Lavender, for while she is still with me. She is hopefully heading to New Zealand this week to be with my niece over there, and accompanying Marty the monkey.
