Not exactly home crafting, since I made it at school, but I love it and wanted to share!
Last semester, I took a welding class at school, and while the guys were busy making belt buckles and truck decals, I made a bed. A freakin' bed, people!! Cheesy A huge, queen-size bed. And it's awesome.

I was also studying yoga heavily that semester, so my lotus inspiration came from those studies.

That is very interesting!
It's quite gorgeous; I would just love to have that sitting in my bedroom.

i think the headboard is gorgeous. it's got the whole strong yet feminine vibe to it. that's amazing that you were able to make it yourself.

I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!

This is totally awesome! Welding is something that I have always wanted to learn. Have you made any other welded creations?

I'm impressed! I'm taking a jewelry class this semester. What metal did you use? Did you add color later and if so what did you use? We can't weld in our class but we use torches to saulder.

That's stunning!  Hope that you're planning on doing this for a living because you have serious talent.

this is awesome!  I love it!  Did you use a plasma to cut out the lotus petals, or an oxy-acetylene torch?  How did you get the bends in the pieces for the headboard to be so symmetrical?
