Inspired by this crocheted bag http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=305675.0 . I decided to knit one since I don't know how to crochet.  It is not complete but I'm just so super excited it turned out decent.  I need to make a liner and add handles and fix the closure. I will post a pic when it's completed.  The color is a really deep red and not like the color it came out in the picture.  A bummer too is the red bled a tiny bit into the white. Embarrassed
So here it is:

+ i wouldn't worry about the red bleeding into the white it makes it look more like a real watermelon. Smiley

So cute! I think it would look nice if you made a small one and didn't felt it and use it as a coin purse or something. I might have to try that!

it always amazes me how huge the knitted bag has got to be before it can be shrunk down in felting! the finished bag looks so professional, we have a chain of shops in the UK called Accessorize and it looks like it came straight off their shelves  Smiley I love the bold black beads, and the 'true' colour sounds delicious!
