I just discovered this site and now I must make some magnets.  I love the microbead effect and i want to make magnets out of the "Do's and Don'ts" from Vice magazine.  Also, I must have my very own collection of marble magnets.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for microbeads, magnets and marbles?

I tried Pearl Arts in central square, but of everything I was looking for, all they had was marbles, but of course they didn't have the clear ones Cry

The only other place I know of is a Michael's in Everett, but I was hoping to find someplace closer to home (downtown Beantown), or at least accessable by public transportation.

Thanks for your help craftsters!

Micahel's is probably your best bet but it is a pain to get to by bus.

Here are some other places that may have them but I would definitely call first:

Paper Source -- there's one in Porter Sq, Cambridge and one in Brookline. I believe I've seen both of these things there.

Playtime Crafts - Mass Ave in Arlington

Oh thanks!  I totally forgot about Papersource... they have a new one downtown too, I think, or maybe on Newbury St?  I'm gonna call them right now!

I haven't been in years, but does Windsor Button have craft stuff?  They're right downtown.

Yeah, I looked in Windsor button, but their craft supplies are pretty much limited to the knitting/sewing sphere.  Paper Source was actually the most well stocked of all the places I looked.  They even had sheets of magnets for backing pictures and whatnot.  I've already made a bunch of magnets!  Grin  I think I'm hooked.

Yay ... Paper Source is so great! http://www.paper-source.com/ They have so many beautiful things. It's soo cool that there are 3 locations in the Boston-area now. My one beef with them is that I get TOO MANY great ideas when I go in there. It's kinda depressing but in the best possible way! Wink
