Two edible dresses that some friends and I made for an Edible Art competition at school--one's quite nutritious, and the other not so much....

The Sweet One:Made out of Fruit Roll-ups, Pull n' Peel Twizzlers, Fruit by the Foot, Gummy Worms, a bit of icing, and some string to hold the boa together....
Detail shot of the In-Progress Bodice:

And accessories of course!

(Rice Krispie treats to build the heels, carrot sticks for scissor blades, and orange for the pincusion--the pins are real, watch out!)
We made it by wrapping my dress form in saran wrap, and then using a bit of water to get the candy to stick on...
We used scissors to trim the skirt, and used some icing to stick on the details!
And of course did a lot of snacking in the process:
The Healthy One:We used thread to sew lettuce leaves to eachother and to my (once again) saran wrapped dressform.
Lots of layers for the bodice and the underskirt:

Layers of lettuce, cabbage, and orange peels to make the rosettes at the waist:

Plus, we covered a pair of shoes with lettuce to match! The rosettes are made of orange slices and bits of beet!

The sweet dress was devoured in seconds (huge surprise, right?

) while the healthy one was barely touched, hahaha. These were made to be a matching set, so I hope it's okay to post both of them!
