Does anyone know where there are craft classes in Calgary? I am looking for sewing specifically, but would also love stained glass, crochet, etc.

Hi!

Check out the U of C's continuing Education guide, they do classes of all sorts at various high schools after hours. You can usually find the guides in the free magazine racks at grocery stores/Zellers. Also maybe check the phone book for craft stores, I know a few small stores (not chains) that offer classes (is Beads and Plenty More, The Scrap Yard...). You might ba able to just call or check out thier websites (if they have one) to see if they offer classes.

Ohh,, also try Chinook Learning. I saw a sign outside thier building and it made me think of you!

You can pick up continuing ed calendars at any library in calgary. I know that Chinook College for sure has a few different sewing courses, including making your own dress forms. They also have some type of class that's every two weeks for a year.

Also Needleworks in Northmount has some sewing classes.
