hi! i found this amazing black cherry colored cotton/poly at SR Harris and i knew i wanted to make a replica of one of my favorite meta dresses out of it! (the pintuck JSK) sooo....tada!

the back is fully shirred Smiley my ruffler foot kept jamming (argh!) so i ended up HAND GATHERING the 30 so yards of ruffles. still- im glad i finished this- the pattern was drafted myself and im kinda impressed it pulled it off! lol

(edited to add pic of back) no action shots yet because im not really a lolita!

This is gorgeous! I love the color!
Your hands was a brave martyr, gathering all of that!

This is an amazing replica. I was scrolling through the new posts quickly and thought, "hey, that's a meta jsk isn't it??" You really did a great job! I love the color of the fabric too - I think it works perfectly for the style of dress. About how long did it take you to make it?

Beautiful replica!  It looks very professional with nice clean seams and pintucks.  Applause for the hand gathering; my fingers and carpels get stiff just thinking about it Embarrassed  And the ruffles turned out so well!
How long did it take you to make?

PS: Go hunt down a lolita and stuff her in this JSK so we can see it in action!  Pleeeease? XD
