Here is a cake I made for my husband's birthday.

The cake is a yellow cake mix that I divided into 3 layers. The filling between each layer and on top is fresh strawberries chopped up and the icing is a chocolate hazelnut cream icing made with Nutella. I tried a recipe for the icing on line but it called for fresh cream and not ultra-pasteurized. I could not find this anywhere in my town so I decided to mix a large tub of whipped cream (not the lite version) and 2 jars of Nutella. I beat it with a mixer. It was not stiff like butter cream but held its shape enough to pipe the stars. It was very yummy and not as rich as straight Nutella.

This is the cake cut.

That looks soooo good!  My son loves strawberry and I eat chocolate and this looks like the perfect compromise!  I was already hungry and now I am starving thanks to this!!

haha, thanks all.

My test cake had 2 layers and it was not enough room for enough Nutella and Strawberries, so the real cake had 3 layers so I could put more Nutella and Strawberries on the cake. I eat them together.
