I feel like you could speed up that technique 100x if you use a crochet hook

LOL omg I don't know why I didn't think of that! I used tweezers D: but thanks for the great idea! ^__^

does it tighten the shirt at all?
DuctTapeRockStar is right, it does bunch up the shirt in a few weird places, but overall, the tightening of the shirt is balanced out by the tshirt strips' stretching.
