I've been making alot of zip pouches and wristlets lately.  Some of them have button flowers sewn onto them which were inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304231.0  All are made with 7 inch zippers except Pouch #6 which is a 9 inch.

here they are:

Pouch #1

Pouch #2

Pouch #3 (the lining is the same as the strap)

Pouch #4

Pouch #5

Pouch #6

Thanks for looking!!

These are so cute!!  I am thinking about making some purses and matching wristlets for some girls I work with who will be graduating this year...did you use a pattern?  I will have to practice with the whole zipper thing before I make any for gifts, though!!  Yours look wonderful!

Thanks!!

and no i didnt use a pattern i just winged it.  i just cut the fabric the same width as the zipper, and the length is just whatever i thought looked good..  you cant tell from the pictures but they are not all the same size in length.  im pretty sure i suck at tutorials but the next time i make one ill take pics and try and attempt to explain how to make it.  I learned how to install the zipper from a sewing book i was reading at the bookstore one day.  as soon as i read it i drove straight home and tried it and it worked!! i was excited lol because it makes the inside look so much better.

yes i made the button flowers... at the top of the post i put a link to the origional post where i got the idea.  i hotglued them together to keep them in place until i sewed them on.  I gave one of the pouches to my mom, and the hotglue broke apart on her flower... but it was okay because i sewed all the buttons in place, so it still looks good.
