I'm new here so I thought I'd post some of the stuff I've made for my chihuahuas.  Smiley  There are quite a few pictures, I basically learned to sew by sewing stuff for them.   ((As a side note, other than the functional harnesses they are never FORCED to wear clothing, most are just put on for the picture, for those that are bothered by dogs in clothes ))

Because it's not good to use collars on small breed dogs, I try to use harnesses for mine but had a hard time finding any comfy ones for my two smaller ones so I made some.

Western themed Wink

A soft suede one

And a camo one with pockets for treats Wink

And these were just for fun, ones made a couple years ago when my sewing skills weren't so great.  Shocked  Some Pleather

A Halloween costume for the pet Halloween contest.  She was a genie Wink

And this was back when my youngest chihuahua was a baby, I wanted a tiny tiny dress for her but it still turned out too big.

How sweet your puppies look in the cute clothes you made for them. This post makes me miss my Lulu. She was a sweet long haired chihuahua and she ruled the house. Unfortunately, she died last year after getting a uterine infection.

Those are some neat harnesses.  I love the western and the plaid.

I'd love to know how to make those as my friend has a chihuahua.

Thank you everyone. Smiley Smiley

Bronzfrog, I just measured my chis and drew up the pattern, it's all one piece.  It's similar in shape to the free dog vest pattern online http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.com/freepetvestpattern.html here, but just shaped a little different and shorter, with d-ring added to be a harness.  I also add embellishments to mine, they're a pretty quick fun project.  Smiley
