Over the last 2 years i've accumulated many quilt blocks from various swaps. none that actually coordinated with other quilts i made so they just sat in a pile for a "someday i'll think of something" project. in the OWS swaps i asked for 2" squares just one of each print (again not exactly sure what i'd make but got collected anyway.

so after cleaning out my craft room i came across all these random piles of quilt blocks and bucket of 2" squares and sat down and pondered. nothing matched, but then again i've always been a fan of the unique so i decided a hodge podge quilt would be it. the center is 768 2" squares no two the same, and i placed the random blocks around the center as a "border" and the result is actually quite pretty IMO. i even asked my mil what she thought and she thought it was very beautiful.

so all you quilting craftsters that contributed to this very sentimental masterpiece, give yourself a pat on the back from me! we did an awesome job!

i havnt put the binding on yet i was too excited to show it off!

and the backing (just a sheet i got from my mom that didnt fit any of our beds

WOW - this is absolutely stunning!

Great work - especially being able to find them all at the same time!

That is so awesome! I really like that it came from so many different people on craftster! That just goes to show how great this place is! I might have to start requesting in swaps for quilt blocks and make my own, I would also put a small patch on it with the craftster logo and the usernames of the people who made the quilt possible. I hit This Rocks, and I'm wisting!
