Awesome!

...Now I wish I had kept those negatives of softcore porn that I got from an estate sale...

DUDE OMG WHAT POSSESSED YOU TO THROW THAT AWAY? Haha, that's like the estate sale find of the century (for crafty purposes of course).

I love the reflections...I'm planning on using Regents Metallic paint on some of my walls, can you imagine the effect that would get?

The round shape is pretty gutsy and awesome too.

This is so awesome! I made a lamp out of old slides but I have so many negatives lying around I'd love to try this. How did you get them all to stay in shape, like is there a form or something and how are they attached to it?

it was made of some sort of metal, but it was just a few curved metal bars attached to a large metal hoop at the bottom (and theres a small metal hoop at the top that i didnt cover the gap in so heat could escape)

i attached the photo negatives with PVA actually! i stuck the negatives to the poles and eachother, so each square was stuck to something on all four edges.

This is so spiffy! I tried the slide lamp shade, but that never worked out. God knows I have a huge stash of negatives that need a home. I love how it reflects onto the wall, very lovely.

My whipped ice dairy drink brings the attention of many males to my place of residence and/ or employment, and they declare that its quality far surpasses that of yours. Absolutely, it far surpasses yours. I could convey to you the recipe, but i would have to demand compensation.

I've seen other people do the lampshade with negatives idea - but what really makes this unique is the shape of lamp you chose and the photos - you have a great eye! I love the way the lamp throws the shadows around the room. Very cool!
