My computer almost died trying to load these photos, but it was so worth it! Where did you get the awesome idea to do this? You rock. And you should keep rocking on with your awesome style.

Well I had to make 12 related works for my AP art concentration. They started with some graffiti stencilwork I did that had Jesus and a Keytar, and just sort of spiraled form there. My art teacher kind of encouraged me to continue them and then turned me on to the screenprinting process, so I guess I've got her to thank! Basically, the concept was just examining how societies "idols" have shifted over time, and then modernizing these seemingly unrelatable religious figures. It's a little deep. lol.

Because every one else is wisting them I'm NOT going to! (lie!)
Seriously, these are great and the undertones are not lost on me. The use of ricrac & embroidery is great. I see gutairs, keyboards, harmonica - WHO's on the mic? are you sticking strickly euro idols? Cause I think Ganesh would !!CrUsH!! some lyrics.  I don't think it would go with your orginal idea ( perhaps a genisis FROM new form of idols to we make ourselves ones), but what if you got  extra long sleeved shirts made & put stigmata's in the "palms".  Just a idea if you want it.  Tongue

Great job!
