So, I saw this string art as a pair of earrings in a shop. I fell in love with the intricate patterns, the geekery maths, and just the general prettyness. However, they were quite expensive, and rather larger than I can get away with earrings, so I thought... why not try crafting!
I think the traditional peruvian art is done using a coil wrapped around some wire, but I was lazy and used beads instead!

So... onto the pics! Please excuse the terrible webcam quality.

I've moved the earrings down to the chain here, so you can see how they match. I've used the same beads as on the pendant frame, and wrapped them around a larger brown pearl bead. They are on kidney wires.

This is the best picture I could get of the pendant. The string I used was a khaki green, dark turquoise, and a plummy purple.

So... what do you think?

I love them. Get irfanview (www.irfanview.com) to do some small editing if you want. The beading around the edge is great. I haven't learned to use the web cam yet.
