The Ogham God

Hi there!  

This is a God.
I have not yet decided a name and history for this God.
But it sure is a God.

I made this mask/headpiece for a contest with the theme "The Ogham". Initially the Ogham alphabet consists of twenty characters. The characters were named after trees or plants and were specifically designed for carvings in stone and wood.
The ogham signs are carved all over those horns.
So for now it is an Ogham God.

Me and a friend are now planning to make more masks and such with the same theme.
Build up stories for them all, how they are connected to each other.
Maybe we get to show them at an exhibition.

So stay tuned

Oh and its made of: horns, sticks, beads, seashells, leather, sculpey clay, feathers, plaster etc.
I think its a little hard to see in that upper left picture, but theres dreamcather-like thingies tied on the horns.
And I kinda always say this but it looks better in real life, it's easier to see what the heck is going on.

It kinda reminds me of the creepie monsters in the movie "The Village". It looks pretty cool, good job.

god of secret thoughts.
god of forgotten dreams.

The antlers seem to have caught things going by that maybe you were trying to get rid of or forget about.  Then these things are brought back to face you which is uncomfortable, and scary, and compelling to look at.

?  That's what struck me.  This is fun though!  More stuff!
