So I'm a bit late on the Pomatomus train....  Cheesy
Getting used to knitting through the back loop was a pain, and I messed up the lace pattern many MANY times, but I still love this pattern!

The yarn was Araucania Ranco Solid (which, despite the name, is a bit variegated) in color 108. It was sitting in my stash for the longest time, until I was looking for a yarn to go with this pattern. I'm a sucker for themes, and sea-glass green yarn fits nicely with a pattern named after a fish!

The color's a little bit truer in this WIP pic. Green's one of my all-time fave colors, and this vibrant green particularly caught my eye! Surely I'm not the only one who sometimes buys yarn just cause of the color.  Wink

Oh how I love hand knit socks.  It is a constant conversation with non-knitters... I don't want to go to walmart and just buuuuy socks.

These are stunning.  The color, the pattern.  Simply lovely.  Where is the pattern from?

Knitting goal for 2011: knit 500,000 stitches.  24,078/500,000 knit.  I think I'm going to need more yarn...

Thanks! One of my favorite parts of fall is starting to wear hand knit socks... You pop outside and the weather's crisp and cold and then "Oh! Time to put on the wool socks"  Grin

The pattern's from Knitty - here!

Thank You!  Knitty is such a great resource for patterns.  I often forget about it though.  I feel like I am always pattern searching on ravelry.

What crazy pics on the knitty link!  silly knitters.
