So I was in a geek swap awhile back and decided to try my hand at making a starghan. To make it geeky enough, I decided to make it a Star from Mario. Cuteness, I present to thee.

I BS'd the eyes, but I think they turned out great.

I'm super proud of it, though I probably never will make myself one. Takes a long time to get anything worth using as an adult, lol.

I also made her kiddos some geeky hats, though those fall under knitting. So you'll have to go there to see them.

Just made one of these today.  I have to say though it is not nearly as cute as your mario themed one.  This is just adorable.  The eyes are so cute!

I love it!  I love the starghans in general, and I love anything old-school video games so this is a double whammy!

Squeee! I absolutely censored-ing love it. The concept of starghan is new to me (I'm a relatively newbie crocheter). I'll have to try it.

I was a real n00b when I started my first Starghan. This was my second attempt at it (I ripped out my first attempt last night). I recommend this version: http://thekidneybean.wordpress.com/crochet-patterns/chromium-star-blanket/ I had a really tough time starting it the first time I tried. We're talking at least 10 attempts... Once I finally figured it out, I added a comment to the pattern page. It's towards the bottom, the name of the poster is Tar (that's me!).
