Yet another update 8/28/09

I finally got around to posting a tutorial on  how I tinted this quilt. You can find the info on my blog:

Update 8/2/09

I have now added color to my quilt, and obviously quilted the background. You can see the original pictures if you scroll down. You can also visit my blog to read more and see many more photos( I think I have about 3-4 post on this quilt) http://blog.petitdebutant.com/2009/08/bada-bum.html

*************************************************************************************
This is my very first project involving trapunto and while it isn't finished yet I wanted to share my progress so far:

This is the mini quilt after doing the trapunto. I still need to quilt the background.

This is the back of the quilt to give you an idea of what it will look like once I wash away the blue ink.

There are more pictures and info on my blog:

BEAUTIFUL.  I'm totally jealous because I can't do free-motion quilting.

This is divine! I love your design, I love your echo stitching,  love the colours, love the skills.

The look of this is just gorgeous, it seems like it would do well as a blanket in a middle eastern palace.. for some reason it reminds me of the movie Aladin. Just lush and royal... so cool.
