So here it is... my first ever sewn object that i will actually use, and my first ever recon piece. It's the shirt i got my very first sailing regatta, and i decided that it could not just stay in my closet or be used as a rag because of the extremely unflattering look it had, so it got a make-over. Hope you like it!

I used this tute to fit it: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-take-in-a-shirt/ , and i cut off the sleeves cuz they were way too big and i didn't dare try to fix them.

bonus regatta pic!

You did a great job. And yeah, that shirt was very unflattering to begin with. Almost to the point of wondering who that shirt was designed to fit anyway.
