I received an awesome MYB from pertelot today!  Got in from running amuck and the box was just sitting there waiting for me.  Sadly some of the nummies were a little melted, but nothing leaked and they are currently recovering in the freezer.

And I have to give kudos to usps.  She sent on Friday and I received today.  Anytime I send to the US it takes a minimun of 7 days even when I pay for extra speedy shipping.

Ok, now for the fun stuff!!

The MYB pre-unraveling with pattern, Thorpe, a very cool hat for very cold weather =)

They yarn is super soft, I look forward to it being on my head.

And the Loot (group shot minus a snickers and york peppermint paddy currently in my freezer)

There is...
-bunny baby cloth
-a collection of buttons and charms
-tea wallet with yogi tea
-card wallet
-3 mice toys for the kitties (the only reason all 3 aren't in the pic is because the kitties got to them when I wasn't looking)
-a skein of lace weight malabrigo in oceanos with a leaf lace scarf bonus pattern
-some salt water taffy (which my husband is eyeing)
-a castle for my beta fish at work (pic forthcoming of it in the tank seeing as I'm off work this week)
-a set of 3.5mm knitting needles
-a battlestar galactica onsie
-a little hand stitched felt gnome

And some details...

And I couldn't resist an action shot.

Thank you Pertelot!

This was a great swap, I really enjoyed it!
And thank you to the organizers as well!

I received an awesome package from KimberlyPye yesterday with two MYBs.

I had planned on knitting the goodies out of the ball. However since there were two, I decided to unravel one right away and save the other to knit out.  I unraveled the pink ball as I need to get smaller circular needles to make the pattern (Hermione's Cable Eyelet Hat).

My cats were all over the package.  Brody helped me unravel the pink ball.

Meanwhile, Mischa was checking out the yellow ball in the box.

There was a ton of goodies in the pink ball!  Crafted things:an owl washcloth (that's also the pattern for the yellow yarn), intricately crocheted fan bookmark, teeny tiny turtle, goldfish magnet, button flower magnet, paint card notebook, duckie earrings, paper star. Noncrafted things: flowering tea bag (trying that out tonight), tea box, the best gummy bears ever! (and they're vegetarian!), glee gum, bird eraser, mushroom, bird and fish buttons, avocado soap, sticky notes, and an assortment of stickers.

Here's a close up shot of the teeny tiny turtle with my mini Blythe doll, Goldie. She's only four inches tall.  The turtle is a little bigger than the size of a quarter!

I started knitting the washcloth a little while ago, but haven't unveiled any goodies yet.  I'll post pictures when I'm finished knitting it.

Thank you, Kimberly!  It's all great so far!  I am completely in awe of your knitting and crochet skills.  I can't get over how small the turtle and bookmark are!

Hi everyone! Grin  Well, I hope this is okay.  I know that loudxmouse received, but it's been a bit so I thought I would go ahead and post pictures of what I sent.  I know that y'all are dying for some pics. Wink  NOTE: Click on smaller pics for larger view.  (And in case you were worried, loudxmouse has unwrapped her MYB so I'm not ruining surprises. Smiley)

Here is a group shot of all the bought goodies.

I Spy: Lemondrop Sock-Ease, DPNs, Tape Measure, Labels, Gummy Bears, Dark Hot Chocolate, Hello Kitty Pez (my daughter picked this out special, Mouse Pincushion, Folding Scissors, Worry Doll, Little Deck of Cards, Blue Bead Set, Notepad & Pen, Bottlecap Pincushion, Needles, Needle Threader, Light Up Yo-yo, and Hope Ornament/Suncatcher

And for the crafted treats, I made....

Nollie's Scrabble Magnets

hopefully this spells success for loudxmouse's new coffee shop

Crocheted Coffee Cozy

because coffee needs to be cozy Grin

A Simple Owl Necklace

Blue Stitch Markers

to keep away those knitting blues

A Little Green Flower Bookmark

A Found Key Necklace

and...

A Green Button Bracelet

I scoured my buttons to find green ones just for loudxmouse

Amazingly, I fit all of this into the MYB.  ...yeah, I was surprised I could do that as well. Cheesy

Well, that's it for pictures, but I did have a few things not photoed: I sent several sock patterns (because I couldn't decide on just one) and 2 skeins of Moonlight Mohair that I used for packing materials (wouldn't want that MYB rolling around in the box Wink).

Thanks loudxmouse for being a fab partner; I adore my MYB.

Okay, who is ready for another round. Wink

Last night, I sat down with a cup of blooming flower tea and a movie to finish knitting the owl washcloth.

Here's the tea before blooming:

And after:

I had never seen anything like that before. It was really neat.

Sadly, I finished the washcloth before coming to anything hidden inside of it!

At this point, I was too impatient to knit a second washcloth so I just unraveled it!

Inside was a market bag, notecards, notepad, push pins (which I really needed), and two recipes-one for beer bread and another for vegan coconut cupcakes.  I'm anxious to try out the recipes!

Thanks again, Kimberly for a lovely package!
