Anyone as excited as I am about costumes and Halloween? Maybe it's a little early, but I'm too stoked to wait!

Anybody interested in sharing their process of constructing the perfect Halloween Costume?

I would love to start my Halloween costume now, since I'll be back in school and therefore have limited time to craft before Halloween once September hits, but I'm definitely drawing a blank on the costume ideas! If I am inspired I totally want to join in.

I was thinking about my costume yesterday. I have it narrowed down to three, unless something impossible cool comes up. I decided not to do kaylee from firefly because of my hair (not being able to afford a wig). So I'm down to A fawn, a female mad hatter, or Mia wallace. Fawn being the most work. mia being the least.

Ooh! Those all sound good. I can't really encourage you to do one over the other because I like them all (I've personally always wanted to do an Alice dress. But Mad Hatter kicks butt!).

It's too bad you decided against Kaylee. We could make coveralls together. Wink I think I know how I'm going to go about constructing April O'Neil's yellow coveralls. And I've ordered some fabric swatches to see which type of fabric would be best.

My hair isn't going to be spot on, but I'm thinking about getting it cut to resemble the cartoon April (since it's been a couple years since I've had my hair cut). It's too dark for April's Amber-brunette, but I don't want to dye my hair (and also cannot afford wig).

unepagaille & psyche: I hope you get inspired and join in!

Would you call her boots mid-calf or ankle?

Oh, I'm in on this! I think I'm going to be Little Red Riding Hood. I bought a costume pattern a while back that has that, Alice, and a couple other things, intending to be Alice, but I decided that everyone will be Alice with the new movie coming out.
