saxonsweetie outdid herself!
Her package came with a letter walking me through it...I'll share with you. (with my side comments like this)
Welcome to the inside of your swap package! First and foremost I would like to introduce you to your brand-new amigurumi family (how did she know I covet all types of amigurumi and am completely intimidated by making my own???)
The little green haired one is Kaj and he represents earth. He wears a little necklace made from jasper and amethyst, which is another special gift for you. We hope amethyst is your birthstone (it is it is!) Kaj's mother was a mandrake root (ahhh...Harry Potter reference :-) ) and his father was a voodoo doll...well that's what he tells people anyway.
The chubby little mermaid is Jori, and she is here for water. She is very shy and quiet, but a real great listener and always good for a teeny tiny hug. Her necklace is also a bracelet that she would love to share with you!
The little hothead is Blaze. He was very opinionated from the first stitch! (and it comes through in ALL of his photos...let me tell you) He insisted that fire elemental amigurumis are all marsupials because they MUST have a place to keep their lighters and matches (hence the little pouch with a lighter in it.) He says you can borrow his lighter anytime you want. How generous of him ;P (now to just shew my also Aquarius bf away from it
Lastly, but not leastly is Zeru and he represents air. He insisted on giving you the biggest, nicest gift, and so you must be sure to thank him for the jar of whimsies. He was a big help in putting it all together. Zeru is the big brother of the group, and he is very protective over the others. He may not be the biggest, but he is certainly the smartest...and he will not hesitate to tell you." (That's how us "air people roll)
Here is the jar before ransackage.
Love the necklace!
This yarn is Sooooo soft...I can't wait to make something out of it...how did you know I like the softies?
I had to save the chicken from the clutches of my some day SIL! Mine hiss!
These too Hiss!
I cant get over how smooth these are. They might become a wind chime.
I LOVE gardening, and it's herb time in SoCal right now (it's too hot in the summer)...now I just have to find an empty space...were packed to the gills in our little back yard. I'll do it though!
In the famous words of that one dude from the movie bubble boy
"Patches...I could use some stinkin patches!"
THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU ROCK!
