My son's birthday was yesterday and I made his cake.  It's been forever since I decorated a cake.  All I did was pipe a web on it but I wish I hadn't tried to take the easy way out and use the tube of decorating icing.  That stuff is almost impossible to get right so I ended up with wobbly lines.  Oh well.

Thanks for looking!

Noting idea for my sister who is a giant spiderman fan.  Smiley

That is so cool! I am going to have to make something like this for my husband's birthday. He is a huge Spidey fan.

Thanks ya'll!  It made me want to decorate even more.  I never could afford the classes so when I started years ago I just bought a starter book and some tips and just winged it.  I'd make cakes whenever a birthday came.  I like doing it but I'm so lazy when it comes to coloring more than one color.
Oh, if you would like to learn how to to get the icing smooth, check out this channel on Youtube.  This is the video that helped me get my icing smooth.  I didn't want to spend too much at the moment on putty knives, so I got a three pack of plastic ones in various sizes at walmart for about 2.00 dollars.
