After seeing so many lovely tree of life pendants here on craftster, I thought... hmmm, I would like to try that! So, I tried it, and I rather liked it! I have gotten a lot of complements on these, so thanks for the inspiration!!!!

This one was made with leftover amber beads that my husband gave me as my Morgangebba (morning gift) after our wedding. The giving and recieving of this gift (and the pronouncement by our alderman) officially made us husband and wife, so it has a lot of significance for me.

The rest of them are just pretty!

I love them all, but I really like the rectangular frames around the first two.  I'm used to seeing the TOL's with round frames.  Great job!!

I really like the amber one.  The tree kind of takes on a feminine shape like its a sassy girl tree.  Makes me thismuch closer to jumping on this bandwagon as well.

I found a really simple tutorial here:

http://beadstudio.com/info.php?a=613

and I bought the frames from Micheal's on clearance (yay, clearance!). I think they were only about $2 for a set of three. I have some teardrop shaped ones that I haven't used yet. I loved the rectangular frames myself, but I don't like the way the bit at the top looks. In the round ones, I wrapped wire around it to kind of hide it, and I think it looks much better that way.

Thanks for all the kind remarks!

These are all great- I especially like the first one with the amber-colored beads. The significance behind them make them that much better!
