So do we just go ahead and make the 49 inchies and pick 7 for each of our 7 partners? Or do we wait for partners and craft around their preferences?? I have sent my questionnaire to the organiser... heres hoping I can get in!!  Smiley

I use 140lb weight cold press water color paper for the base of mine, so its just plain white. Most likely I'll cover it with a cardstock that coordinates with the front of the inchie. I made little backing sheets that have my user name, the name of the swap and 2009 on them, then ran them thru my Xyron so they're stickers and it will be easier to put them on.

In the original post it says that they don't need to be tailored to your partners

Oh...killing me.  I just read an article about inchies and now I'm crazy for them.  I'm in the middle of a quilt and promised I wouldn't swap this summer...but...they ARE just inchies.

after several tries now - everyone should have feedback and their name on the front list - if you do not please let me know - this system and I don't always see eye to eye <lol>

For sure you can get started on your inchies - the perf. of your partner is just a guide line - so when you get your partners you can pick thru your inchies and pick the ones you think they will each like Smiley

In response to the question about 3-d inchies: I personally would LOVE 3-d/mixed media inchies. : ) I'm planning to frame mine, but I'm going to use a frame that I broke the glass from (I had a picture in it, and then it fell down and shattered...), so 3-d inchies would be wonderful! At least, for me. : )

Thanks!!

If anyone is lazy about drawing 1 inch squares, like I am, you can download 1inch grid paper from this page.  I've printed and measured them, and it's good!  You download a PDF, so when you print, make sure you don't have "auto-fitted" selected.
