it started out as an exercise in the puff stitch, but i ran out of the variegated yarn about halfway through, so it morphed into a cupcake with the yellow.  i added a heart on the side & a tassel "cherry" on top.  i also ribbed the yellow part to mimic the crenelations on a cupcake liner.  i noted a few changes i'd like to make next time i try it, but overall i'm very happy with it. Smiley
