Thank you!

I'm usually crafting late at night while watching CSI or some such programme. I've always found it more difficult to craft during the day. Total night owl! Cheesy

I want to make a bunch to pop on my tree at Christmas and surprise people!

I love these! And, I love the picture of them all upside down to show their springs- looks like a pile of dead bugs! But, you made a trio of good bugs, so we don't want them to end up dead in a pile. Cockroaches and mosquitos, on the other hand...

Are the paper parts glued onto the spring and legs, or are they just nested over the top of the spring?

Heh, thanks! Maybe I should change the title to not-quite-ugly bugs Cheesy

Yep, everything is glued down to keep them steady. You don't want guts falling out or legs falling off! Cheesy

They're wonderful! Such great colours and lovely details. I especially like the dragonfly's eyes and feathery wings. My kids and I found a cool bug yesterday - a Musk Beetle, with irridescent wing cases and long blue antennae - bugs are just so fascinating.

Fantastic! I love how you used the snaps for eyes. I was looking for one of your other projects to show my DH, when I stumbled upon these. Your work is so whimsical and unexpected.

I think they're fabulous!  (and I'm not just saying that because my eight-year-old is drooling over my shoulder saying, 'mum, let's try to make some bugs' -- he's in a bug-obsessed place this summer - I'm constantly fishing bug catchers and jars with holes poked in the lids out of odd places!  These bugs are 'way wonderful!

do you do a lot of folding and gluing in place or more cutting to shape first? I think I understand the basic concept for these but would love to know how to get started. Smiley
