My friend is obsessed with a Manga called D.Gray-Man, and she got me into it as well. So for her birthday, I made her a plushie of the Main Characters Golem(pet-thing) which is named Timcampy. It looks a lot like the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter. It took me four Hours to hand-stitch, and cut 10 layers of feathers per wing. The wings are fully wired and poseable, as is the tail. The horns allow it to stand on it's own, and it's squishy^_^.

That's Tim from the back. His wings are so pretty! I love them.
And here's Tim from the front.

I looked around on the internet after I made it, and most of the other Timcampy plushies, their makers didn't bother with the feathers, leaving the wings flat and just fetaher-cut in one layer. This Timcampy's wings are about 3/4 of an inch thick with all the layers of felt and feathers.

Needless to  say, my friend was very excited to open Timcampy on her birthday. Now I just ned to make one for myself!!

I love that you cut all the layers of feathers and also wired the wings/tail. It really adds a lot of detail to what is otherwise a fairly simple character design. Great job!

Holy crap, Timcampy! I have to sya I am astounded at the ammount of work you've put into Tim. Not only the loads of feathers on the wings, but also the pose-ability of Tim as well. And the cross on his front is so wonderfully done~! So many other Tims I've seen, the people are just lazy with him, and you can tell, They turn out terrible. But this is super special awesome! I LOVE it! Grin

Very cool that you made it poseable. Did you just use some wire?
All your work sure pays off!

Ha! Thank you! ^_^ Yes, after I sewed all the layers togetehr, there were 9 layers of felt stacked on top of each other. So I git some wire and some gorilla glue, glued the wire into place on tope of the layers, then sewed t down. Then I covered it with the piece you see on the front of the wing, kind of like the wing of an airplane. For the tail, I just put wire on top of a strip of felt and sutured it closed.

And yes, she was very excited ^_^

That is so awesome! I'm not too familiar with D.Gray-Man, but this plushie is amazing. That is a lot of work in the wings alone! And I love his tail!
